What Scale Are the Fast and Furious Cars?
The fast and furious franchise is among the most popular diecast cars sold as toys for children and collectors. These cars are featured either from their movie scenes or games, and there are collectors who are into collecting these cars. However, one question that usually pops up is what scale these cars have?
Fast and Furious diecast cars range from 1:24 to 1:64 scale. The 1:24, 1:32, and 1:55 scale usually comes from Jada toys while the 1:64 scale usually comes from Hot Wheels. Each scale comes with a wide variety of model cars to choose from, but the 1:24 and 1:64 scales have the most variety.
To make this blog post more in-depth, I have given examples of the fast and furious cars you can get for each scale. Furthermore, I have explored the brands that offer specific scales for these model cars.
What scale is fast and furious diecast cars?
Generally speaking, fast and furious diecast cars ranges from 1:24 to 1:64 scale with some exceptions like RC diecast cars that can be 1:10 to 1:18 scale.
Most fast and furious diecast cars come from Jada toys. However, other brands offer fast and furious diecast cars such as Tianmei and Hot Wheels.
Since Jada’s specialty is providing authentic and licensed cars, they are the ones who got the license to produce the vehicles related to the Fast and Furious franchise.
That’s why the majority of the fast and furious diecast cars, except those in the 1:64 scale, are from Jada.
What scale are Jada fast and furious? Generally speaking, Jada’s fast and furious models range from 1:24 to 1:55 scale. In addition, however, they offer larger-scale models such as 1:10 or 1:18 scale for fast and furious RC cars.
Let’s dive deeper into each scale.
1/24 Scale Fast and Furious Cars
Most 1:24 scale fast and furious cars come from Jada toys.
Jada toy’s niche in the diecast market is providing licensed model cars, and /they have the license for providing cars from the fast and furious franchise.
1/24 scale is also the most popular scale of fast and furious cars for Jada toys. In fact, this scale offers the widest variety of F&F cars.
Most Jada Fast and Furious diecast cars are in the 1/24 scale, such as Dom’s Dodge Charger, Slap Jack’s Toyota Supra, Brian’s Nissan Skyline, Shaw Hobbs’ Mclaren, Suki’s Honda S2000, Letty’s Dodge Viper, Brian’s 2002 Nissan Skyline GT-R, Brian’s Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, Letty’s 1966 Chevy Corvette, 1977 Pontiac Firebird, and more.
Here is a list of the fast and furious cars that you can find on a 1:24 scale:
- Dom’s Dodge Charger
- Slap Jack’s Toyota Supra
- Brian’s Nissan Skyline
- Shaw Hobbs’ Mclaren 720S
- Suki’s Honda S2000
- Letty’s Dodge Viper
- Brian’s 2002 Nissan Skyline GT-R
- Brian’s Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution
- Letty’s 1966 Chevy Corvette
- 1977 Pontiac Firebird
- Han’s Mazda RX-7
- Dom’s Ice Charger
- Roman’s Lamborghini Murcielago
- Jeep Gladiator
- Lykan Hypersport from fast and furious 7
- Dom’s 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner
- Brian’s Subaru Impreza
- Brian’s Ford Escort
As you can see, the 1:24 scale offers a variety of diecast models from the franchise. However, some people prefer smaller model cars.
That’s why Jada also offered smaller model cars.
Remember that the larger the scale number, the smaller the model is. So a 1:64 model is smaller than a 1:24 model. Likewise, a 1:32 model is smaller than a 1:24 model.
Due to this, people who prefer smaller models often go for larger scales. The good news is that fast and furious models can go up to 1:64 scale, about 2.8 inches long.
1/32 Scale Fast and Furious Cars
Jada toys also dominate 1:32 scale fast and furious cars. However, smaller brands offer diecast cars at this scale, such as Tianmei diecast.
When it comes to Jada toys, examples of fast and furious cars they offer on this scale are Han’s Mazda RX-7, Mia’s Acura Integra, Shaw Hobbs’ Mclaren, Slap Jack’s Toyota Supra, Dom’s Dodge Charger, and more.
Here is a list format of the model cars you will see in the 1:32 scale:
- Han’s Mazda RX-7
- Mia’s Acura Integra
- Shaw Hobbs’ Mclaren
- Slap Jack’s Toyota Supra
- Dom’s Dodge Charger
On Tianmei diecast, the only model I found is the Fast and Furious Initial D Trueno in a 2006 Fast and Furious game called Initial D.
There are fewer model varieties in the 1:32 scale since the 1:32 scale is not as popular as the 1:24 scale.
Jada still offers models smaller than a 1:32 scale which is a 1:55 scale.
1/55 Scale Fast and Furious Cars
Jada offers 1:64 scale model cars, but it is pretty rare to find fast and furious Jada cars at this scale. Thus, usually, the smallest diecast fast and furious Jada car models are on the 1:55 scale.
However, since 1:55 is not a widespread scale, only a few models you can find at this scale, such as Dom’s Dodge Charger, Dom’s Lykan Hypersport in Fast and Furious 7, and Letty’s 1970 Plymouth Barracuda.
Here is a list of the fast and furious cars you can find on the 1:55 scale.
- Dom’s Dodge Charger
- Dom’s Lykan Hypersport in Fast and Furious 7
- Letty’s 1970 Plymouth Barracuda
This might seem frustrating if you’re into smaller models since smaller models have a lesser variety of fast and furious models.
However, that’s not true. In fact, the 1:64 scale fast and furious cars offer one of the widest variety we’ll see in the next section.
1/64 Scale Fast and Furious Cars
As I said, Jada rarely releases a 1:64 scale fast and furious car. However, Hot Wheels offer fast and furious cars at the 1/64 scale.
The great thing about Hot Wheels is that they produce a wide variety to choose from at this scale. That’s why if you want to be a collector for fast and furious cars, focusing on the 1:64 scale is a viable option.
Hot Wheels offer a lot of fast and furious diecast cars such as Fast and Furious Honda S2000, Nissan Skyline GTR, Mitsubishi Eclipse, Toyota GR Supra, Trueno Toyota Sprinter, Dodge Charger, Jeep Gladiator, 2003 Honda NSX Type-R, Lykan Hypersport, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Lamborghini Gallardo, and Nissan Silvia.
